Sitting in my boring communication class, where our lecturer, Rehana Minty is showing us how to use MS word! Can you believe that in this day and age and at a tertiary educational facility we are still being taught this crap?! And we HAVE to attend it! and get tested on it!???

Autumn Oranges

Autumn is creeping slowly upon us, the days are getting shorter, the mornings getting cooler, and the sun sets more gorgeously beautiful with arrays of warm oranges, reds and pinks - this is the perfect time of the year, except that we all know one thing is around the corner; Winter! And a cold one again i fear this year... But one thing that will keep me warm is the love of my life and my cosy books i have now adopted - so i ask myself, am i ready for winter. And the answer is more than i have ever been! X x x

For my love!

Every warrior of light has felt afraid of going into battle.

Every warrior of light has, at some time in the past, lied or betrayed someone.

Every warrior of light has trodden a path that was not his.

Every warrior of light has suffered for the most trivial of reasons.

Every warrior of light has, at least once, believed that he was not a warrior of light.

Every warrior of light has failed in his spiritual duties.

Every warrior of light has said 'yes' when Gd wanted to say 'no'.

Ever warrior of light has hurt someone he loved.

That is why he is a warrior of light, because he has been through all this and yet has never lost hope of being better than he is.

Paulo Coelho - manual of the warrior of light.

In the end we are all the same, we are all just humans, warrior's on a spiritual journey through a full textured life, i love you...

How life can Change...

Life is all about CHANGE!!! Life can change in a split second, and half the
time we are completely unaware of it! but one thing we do realise ad
remember is the weather... its drastic change in one day - BEAUTY is all
what it is - sun; moody; ice.

Tea lovers, train tracks, and astonishing love with the ALL MIGHTY ONE

Start to finish, that seems like the how the world operates as we know it...
we wake up in the morning, we go to bed at night, it's the circle of life in
a nut shell if you think about, so I have decided to start my journey in an
incredible new life, one that is rich, textured and full of energy! I
sometimes I feel there is no start or finish, but sadly there is! There's
the finish or end to an amazing weekend, some with just keep getting better
and better, but it's something that I now crave in my life... it's my new
ecstasy... my everything . My new blog is to share my thoughts, my travels,
my love, my life, through an amazing eye for detail... call it what you
want! To a new life, a new year, and new pathways!

Reliving Tuisbly...

Sure bliss with a "secret" lover, whilst witnessing a storm from afar,
driving towards it now... mushy feet, but the gold prize of unique porcelain
was worth it! x X x

P.S. You light up my life ;)

I Love You!

One of the most beautiful sunsets i have ever witnessed! The picture was taken last night on my way to capoeira in Rivonia! And dedicate it to the love of my life whom i wished was with me :) Xxx

BERRYLICIOUS!

Here is the Recipe from, “The Good Food CookBook” – Ina Paarman. Titled Berry Chocolate Tart with Pecan Crust!

Serves 6-8

CRUST
1 cup (100g) pecan nuts
10 Tennis biscuits
60 ml brown sugar
2.5 ml ground cinnamon
60 ml melted butter

FILLING
250 ml cream
200g Dark Chocolate, broken into squares
250g cherries or raspberries (THE BEST) or 500g strawberries.

Preheat oven 170°C. Chop pecan nuts and biscuits in blender/processor until crumbed. Add sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Pulse until blended and moist clumps form. Press mixture up the sides and onto the base of a 22cm fluted porcelain dish. Bake for 25 minutes until golden and crispy. Leave to cool.
To make the filing, bring the cream just to the boil. Remove from heat and pour slowly over the chocolate. Stir to melt the chocolate. Pour the mixture into the baked crust. Leave to set overnight or for a good full day (as I learnt it) in the fridge. Arrange the berries over the top and serve... and PRESTO you have mouth watering-give-me-more-NOW dessert!!!

Happy Baking ;)
3 Month Affair...

I have decided that, from now onwards I will cook something out of a cook book every weekend! So what better way to start something simple and “easy” by making a scrumptious dinner for our 3 month anniversary!?? Salmon for starters, Lemon, garlic and herb Fish with “Man Appeal” mushrooms on a bed of pasta! HMMM HMMM HMMM was that just simply delicious, then served with Chocolate Berry desert... see later post for recipe! J Needless to say it was a successful dinner for two, and a serious learning curve in my cooking career!

1 down and many MANY more to come – so stay tuned!!

Looks like some rain is headed our way! Too bad my amagorbu is in the
east... Otherwise i'd be in his arms right now! Love you my
gorgeousest :) Xxx

I love driving around my city- in fact anywhere actually! I love
seeing, smelling, touching, feeling the space i am in! I'm actually
enjoying watching what new or 'old' architecture is being built here
in Jozi! Such as the picture above, of a new contemporary hotel in
Rosebank!

Until later... My gorgeousness :)

My room is completely empty, bags are gone, just the resemblance of 'Dirty' clothes from a fun packed week lay in the corner of my bedroom! Rays of sunlight finally enter through my window as the morning takes longer and longer to wake up! He is on his way to the east, but not for long this time, so until later i see Him - it will never be a 'good bye!' Travel safe my gorgeousness X

The Great Thinkers...

Some of my team members working out our form work! GO TEAM :)

Faith, Hope & Love

The moment that he begins to walk along it, the warrior of light recognises the Path.

Each stone, each bend cries welcome to him. He identifies with the mountains and the streams, he sees something of his own soul in the plants and the animals and the birds of the field.

Then, accepting the help of God and of God's Signs, he allows his Personal Legend to guide him towards the tasks that life has reserved for him.

On some nights, he has nowhere to sleep, on others, he suffers from insomnia. 'That's just how it is,' thinks the warrior. 'I was the one who chose to walk this path.'

In there words lies all his power: he chose the path along which he is walking and so has no complaints.

Paulo Coelho - Manual of the Warrior of Light.
