RIP Paddatjie
I found a dead frog locked in my western residence. How it got to the first floor of my room I have no idea. I though I would pay tribute to it considering a few days back I posted one of it's 'brothers' from the east in Boven. May you rest in peace Klein Paddatjie!

PostCrossing
I received my first Postcrossing postcard today from Germany. It took 10
days and travelled 8,549 km to get to me. I've been a member for now 24 days
and absolutely love it. I think it is such a great idea, especially for me
who loves travelling, seeing and experiencing cultures around the world.
The goal of this project is to allow people to receive postcards from all
over the world. The main idea is that: if you send a postcard, you will
receive at least one back from a random Postcrosser from somewhere in the
world. That is just one of the best parts... mine is waiting to see what
gets delivered and to see how faithful our postal system is here in South
Africa. visit the web link for more info: www.postcrossing.com

Braai
Daar's 'n lekker word en dit is BRAAI - no other word in the world can explain it; the smell, atmosphere, rituals, enjoyment that is shared around a 'lekker braai'.
Dullstroom
Sitting at Harrie's Pancake having my traditional plunger coffee and carrot cake after and eventful day of delivering the news papers all over the highlands region. Dullstroom my final stop I cannot help but reward myself with something sweet, and to sit back chill, and relax (one thing that is missing - bubups khumalu).

TriBeCa Pretoria
Having lunch on a warm summers day in the heart of Pretoria, the capital of South Africa. The square that we are sitting at brings the down to earth atmosphere of the mixture of multi-nationals that can be seen and heard. Behind me I hear what seems to be russian or some eastern European land which makes me wonder what brings them here to southern Africa? We order a delicious chicken pasta and tuna wrap to share - Bon appetite!

Agan Hotel
Sitting having a stunning typical Turkish breakfast. Something some people would not know, that contains an array of salad, cucumbers, tomatoes and feta cheeses. But even better delicious pastries and jams :) Its a chilly 10 degrees outside and slightly overcast, and we cannot wait to get out in the town. First stop the bazaar district, a short walk from our hotel, a district know for its markets and small little shops that may sell everything from prices to persian rugs to fake Gucci shoes. The sun is peeping out, so we are 'outta' here ;)
