Milky Way
Its Easter Sunday, the holiest of calendar days. It is the most perfect night, a cool breeze, I stare into the milky way above me. I feel minute and at peace with everything - I could not want more or less this very second. I thank Him for my life and where I am right this moment.

Amazing Photography
Photographer Bence Máté snapped this amazing shot in Costa Rica. He writes, “I was photographing hummingbirds when I heard the sharp, alarming noise of the birds reacting to the presence of a predator. Sixty feet away from me this green-crowned brilliant was fearlessly attacking a small viper. The long shutter speed and shallow depth of field made it difficult to make an image with both animals sharp. This encounter was one of the most interesting ones I had ever seen, and I quickly set up two flashes to increase the light and shutter speed, using one flash fired from the background and another from the camera.
This image was among the winners of the 2010 Nature’s Best Photography Competition. It and other winners will be on display at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C. starting in April. From cubeme.com

Giraffe Manor
Giraffe Manor is a small hotel in the Lang’ata suburb of Nairobi, Kenya. Together with its related Giraffe Centre, serves as a home to several endangered Rothschild giraffes, as well as operating a breeding program which reintroduces breeding pairs back into the wild. The Giraffe Manor is surrounded by 140 acres of indigenous forest just outside Kenya’s capital, Nairobi. It is home to giraffe and many species of birds, large families of warthogs and the elusive Bush Buck. The Giraffe Manor offers five double bedrooms, immaculately furnished in the style of their day, with large four-poster beds, antique furnishings and striking art deco bathrooms. Each of the six luxury rooms offer en suite facilities, and sumptuous surroundings. Guests enjoy evening cocktails in front of the fireplace before a delicious gourmet dinner. Article off cubeme.com.

Oriental Concoction
Had dinner with my lovely 'sister' tonight - she made us an amazing roast chicken with a peanut butter, soy sauce and coconut sauce, with chopped green beans, mushrooms and pistachio nuts together with fries and a side salad all topped off with coriander (my favourite). Wow what an amazing infusion of smell and taste - I give it 10 out of 10!

Architectural Fruit
Had an amazing Friday with my lecturers whom I now work for. Was drawing up plans of a house that we were going to present to a client in a few hours... The hunger inside me has now erupted.

Paved hell
The new boulevard of The Zone, Rosebank, it may look attractive, and it is to a certain extent, however I think could the landscape architect not have been a little more creative with this design of paving nightmare?

Sin...
My biggest sin, if you can call it that, is a good cup of filter coffee and a slice of the most delicious cake!
